Our fabulous 15m pool is located at the Orida Hotel, Newbury, just off the M4.
Pool Details
Our Newbury pool is a lovely and warm, calm pool at the Orida Hotel, just off the M4 10 minutes from Newbury town centre. The pool is heated to 30 degrees and is 15m long, so caters for all ages and abilities. There is ample parking available and a cafe serving Starbucks and food, with a discount available to our swim families.
All classes are 30 minutes long and have a maximum of just 4 children per class. We have our own lane to ensure a private, uninterrupted lesson and we have up to two classes swimming during each session.
Parents and guardians can grab a drink and a snack and wait for their children in the hotel reception/cafe. We will invite parents in towards the end of term to watch their children’s class. We offer a discount for members of the hotel and the hotel offers our swimmers discounted membership of the health club at the hotel.
The pool is 15m long and 7m wide, has large steps with a hand rail, and ranges from 1-1.5m deep. We offer classes for preschool and school aged children of all abilities. Children can join a preschool class (without parents in the water) from around 3 years of age.
When you arrive for lessons, please remember to visit reception to validate your parking. Please get changed and ready and ensure swimmers have used the toilet and had a quick shower before their lesson start time. Please wait in the changing room until a couple of minutes before your lesson is due to start, and then come onto poolside and wait by the loungers for your teacher to come and collect you for your class.
At the end of your lesson, your teacher will bring the children back to the loungers – please make sure you are ready waiting to collect them. Please do not leave the site in case of emergency and ensure we have your up to date mobile phone number.
