Bordon

Our toasty hydrotherapy pool is located at a school in Bordon.

Our Bordon pool is a lovely warm hydrotherapy pool at a school, hired exclusively to Seahorses for swimming lessons. It is naturally very toasty and has excellent facilities to support those with additional needs. There is ample parking available right outside the school’s main reception and the pool is just inside the school building.

There are two large changing rooms with shower hoses and curtained toilets for our swimmers to use, and disabled toilets for our parents & guardians. We alternate classes between changing rooms to ensure plenty of space and minimal crossover between classes. There is bench seating on poolside for parents & guardians to watch classes, along with comfortable sofa seating in Reception and outside viewing through the poolside doors for those warm days.

The pool itself is 6m long and 4m wide and has large steps and rails across the shallow end, with a varying depth from 0.7m – 1.2m. The pool is heated to a lovely 34 degrees, but please be aware that poolside can be very warm because of this and we advise all spectators to dress accordingly and bring water. There is seating available outside of the pool complex if needed.

We offer preschool and school aged beginner classes at are Bordon pool and lessons are available on a 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 basis. Two classes swim side by side apart from 1:4 classes which have the whole pool. We recommend that preschool swimmers join a class with at least one other little one. If your child needs a bit of extra individual support we may suggest changing to a smaller class or private lesson.

Anyone entering the pool complex must remove their shoes and store at the entrance to their changing room. Please ensure all children use the toilet and have a quick shower before their lesson start time. Please wait in the changing room until the previous class have exited poolside to their changing room, before coming to sit down and wait to be invited into the pool by your teachers.

We fully appreciate that it is very enjoyable and rewarding for parents to watch their children learning to swim and share their enthusiasm. We politely ask that parents refrain from talking to their children whilst lessons are taking place as this draws the children’s attention away from the teacher and the lesson, which can be very dangerous. If you feel by watching the lessons on poolside your child is becoming distracted and not reaching their potential we are more than happy for parents to wait in the changing room or in their car whilst lessons take place. Please do not leave the site in case of emergency.

Please change in a timely manner after your lesson has finished and leave the site quietly.
